Teeth Whitening
The safest way to whiten your teeth is to have your dentist do it
If you’ve been thinking about having your teeth whitened, but don’t know where to go to receive the treatment, you’d be forgiven. It would seem just about every beautician, hairdresser and spa is offering the popular cosmetic procedure these days. However, the most reliable person to turn to if you’d like to bleach your teeth is your dentist.
Despite being so readily available from a number of establishments, tooth whitening should only ever be carried out by a fully qualified expert. It is for that reason we strongly recommend you book an appointment at Bell Yard Dental if you are considering tooth whitening.
At Bell Yard Dental you can rest assured your oral health is our main concern. Therefore, if you choose to have your teeth whitened at our practice, your dentist will begin by thoroughly examining your teeth and gums to ensure you are suitable for the treatment. If they are satisfied, your gums will then be protected to avoid any bleach touching them.
Tooth whitening consists of two steps at our practice. The first is an impression appointment to take the mould of your teeth so the gel can sit in it.
Next, you will be able to continue treating your teeth at home with your custom made whitening tray. The tray is filled with whitening formula so that you can wear it whilst you sleep – or for short periods during the day – continuing the whitening process. In the majority of cases patients see a noticeable improvement within 2 weeks, but your dentist will discuss your individual case with you. To book your Teeth Whitening Consultation please click here.
